I am sure the majority of you will agree that we live in a very demanding, fast-paced world. What should be a marathon has turned into a sprint.

I am sure the majority of you will agree that we live in a very demanding, fast-paced world. What should be a marathon has turned into a sprint. Added to that, what we have experienced or are experiencing over the last 18 months, one could add the words a crazy world or in the words of Roland Orzabel of Tears for Fears fame, Mad World.

It has brought with it a time of serious challenges, fears, anxiety, stress, and maybe even a feeling of being overwhelmed. At times like this, it is so easy to lose perspective as to what is really important. However, it is vital that on a daily basis you keep the important things important.

Important aspects of life such as family, relationships, and yes, yourself - you are very important. This will no doubt help in bringing balance into your life.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you feel that I could assist you via my Coaching/Mentoring Program.

Like the rest of the world, living in South Africa for the last sixteen months has brought with it many challenges. To add to these challenges, during this month of July we have had even more serious challenges come our way. The destruction, burning, and looting that has taken place has left many parts of certain areas in the country looking more like a war zone – an apocalypse.

The financial cost is such that it is difficult to quantify or even absorb the damage. Many small to medium size businesses may not have the resources to start up again. Add to this the stress and anxiety of individuals and you have hundreds of people under immense mental strain.

Like you, I have not escaped the challenges. So, I want to encourage you that no matter where you may be at this particular time, now is not the time to give up. Now is the time to take a step back and move forward one small step at a time, one day at a time. Now is the time to view life’s challenges as small stepping stones to overcoming, achieving small victories, and eventual success. Do not allow these challenges to become tombstones to mark a place of failure and defeat.

A country like England had to pick up the pieces literally after WWII and rebuild piece by piece. Germany had to do the same. Global corporations such as FEDEX, GM, and many others started in times such as these.

Your own responses to obstacles and challenges that may come your way can determine whether or not you are successful in your endeavors.

As Sir Winston Churchill exhorted, “Never, Never, Never Ever Give Up.”

If you are feeling uninspired, frustrated with your situation, have no direction, stressed and or anxious and you feel you need someone like myself to communicate with, please do not hesitate to contact me via;

Are you feeling burned out, stressed and anxious - running on a spinning wheel going nowhere?

Using the analogy of your motor vehicle, which after a certain mileage needs a service, changes are made - maybe your body & mind has reached that "mileage." Reset your idling speed to your correct speed, by living at the pace that you are comfortable with - do not be dictated by the pace of the world. Prioritise the important things in your life and cut down on unnecessary distractions.

Turn your light off each night. It is important to put closure on each day - when you wake up the next day yesterday is history never to return. Create a time to rest on a daily & weekly basis - break each day into two parts with a gap in between. Make sure a good night’s sleep separates each day.

I am sure the majority of you will say that today we live in a very demanding, fast-paced world. After what we have all experienced or experiencing over the last 14 months, one could add the words a crazy world and the words of Roland Orzabel of Tears for Fears fame, Mad World.

It has brought with it a time of serious challenges, fears, anxiety, stress, and sadly in many instances a loss of hope. In situations like this, it is so easy to lose perspective as to what is really important. However, it is vital on a daily basis to keep important things important.

Things like family, relationships, and yes, yourself - you are very important. This will no doubt help in bringing balance into your life.
